Cundy’s Harbor |
During my Fall trip in 2008 I stopped for a few days
at my sister’s home in Cundy’s Harbor and for three days it rained. While out for
a walk in the rain I saw this blue boat and thought how it looked like a
French painting. Taken on 9-27-2008 at 4:47:14 PM with a Nikon D300 with
the 18-200mm VR lens at 200 ISO @ 1/125 s at f/5.6. |

This example of Digital Art Etching is a process that
certain types of photographs stand out. It used to be a very difficult process
in film - three separate negatives - but using the computer it is
converted quickly. This photograph of a small tree growing

On an early February morning, the Winter fog was
hanging low and thick. My wife had called me at home - we live
across from the school where she teaches - she noticed this and said I
should get my camera out and take photographs. Taken on

Lichens |
While this late Winter- early Spring photo may not
seem important, I was struck by the brilliant hues of these lichens that I
found on one log while hiking to Parkers Creek. Two days
later I again went on this same hike and the gold colors were totally gone
and the light blues were faded. Taken on 3-16-2009 at 9:02:25 AM with a
Nikon D90 with the 80-400mm VR lens at 2000 ISO @ 1/1600 s at f/5.6. |

Winter Fog |
One of the wonderful things about fog is how it makes
us sense a closeness of the world we see, and that which is beyond our
sight just disappears in the grayness. Taken on 2-1-2008 at 11:38:21 AM
with a Nikon D80 with the 17-55mm VR lens at 800 ISO @ 1/160 s at
f/6.3. |
